Aisling Bea
Aisling B a is born on on 16 March 1984, in Kildare Ireland. Bea has appeared on QI alongside Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh (born 16 March, 1984) is a comedian and actress from Ireland. Bea, who began appearing as part of the cast on Irish or British TV shows in 2009, began her career by performing stand-up comedy in 2011. The comedian began to appear frequently on sketch comedy shows and sitcoms later in the year. After winning an award in the Edinburgh Comedy Awards she began to be booked regularly for numerous panel shows for which she has become a fixture. She has been a part of 8 Out of 10 Cats since 2016 and she is one of the most popular contestants on its sister show 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. The actress is the child of Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan. Sinead, her older sister was born. She was the winner of the So You think You're Funny Award twice. Bea the name she was given as her maiden name, is a tribute to her late dad. Aisling Cliodhnadh'Sullivan' was born in Kildare town County Kildare on 16 March 1984. Bea's father Brian passed away at age three. He was a horse vet. Bea wasn't told the details of how he passed to death until she was 13 years old. In 2017 she wrote an essay for The Guardian about the suicide of her father's family. She also she adopted the stage name Bea in remembrance of him. Bea (and her younger sister Sinead) were brought up in the same home as Helen Moloney, a educator and jockey trainer who was a professional jockey. Their family was in love with racing and horses. Bea started her journey as a tour-guide at the Irish National Stud. However Bea realized at an early age that the race industry was not for her.
